Working closely with JVC factory designers, Anton/Bauer has developed a professional power system to meet the real power and ergonomic needs of the new JVC GY-HD100 ProHD camcorder. As the basis for this system, Anton/Bauer introduces a Gold Mount for the GY-HD100. The QR-JVC 7/14HDV eliminates the dependence on small consumer batteries that lack the power demanded by professionals, by providing access to Anton/Bauer's entire range of Gold Mount batteries. This specially designed Gold Mount supplies the proper regulated operating voltage to the GY-HD100 camera while providing the ability to use standard 12 volt video accessories such as on-camera lighting -- all powered from the same high performance battery. The mount also features a RealTime interface to the camera, which JVC employs to display the battery's remaining runtime in hours and minutes directly in the viewfinder of the camera. Mounting directly to the battery "box" and mechanically secured to the camera body the QR-JVC7/14HDV allows Anton/Bauer batteries to be used to extend the runtime of the camera and to power accessories that would otherwise have required additional batteries. A single Anton/Bauer Dionic 90 will operate the camera for up to five hours. A HyTRON 120 can provide similar runtime with a light and accessories -- a single battery for virtually all day professional shooting.

It mounts batteries
Well... how do you review such a utilitarian device, when it's the only option available? It mounts Gold Mount Batteries to my JVC GY-HD100. That's about it. It has handy screw-holes for mounting another mount to it... for a light or a DTE recorder, or maybe a wireless mic receiver. It was made from aluminum and was painted a nice flat bumpy-finish black.
